BitMEX to stop serving Ontario residents
BitMEX is closing its doors to Ontario-based users on September 1, 2020. Here's everything you need to know to preserve your cryptocurrency history and funds.

BitMEX has announced that it will to stop serving all Ontario, Canada residents on September 1, 2020 at 00:00:00 EST.
If you are an Ontario-based BitMEX user, you will no longer be able to place new orders as of September 1, 2020. Open positions will continue to operate per their terms, but must be closed by 00:00:00 EST on January 4, 2021 (otherwise they will automatically be closed at that time).
We recommend that Ontario-based BitMEX users:
- Immediately: connect your BitMEX account to CoinTracker to capture and preserve your transaction history
- By January 4, 2021: close your open positions and withdraw your funds
